Ham Radio's Best HF Band

Thanks to Walt (K4OGO) for this fascinating discussion of the two most popular HF bands--20 meters and 40 meters.

Walt examines the pros and cons for each band, and provides useful information regarding MUF (Maximum Usable Frequency), skip, and HF radio waves in general.

Based on actual experience, Walt concludes that the 20 meter band is the best overall place for your ham radio DX activities.  Forty meters shines as an excellent band for local and regional communications, with night time propagation allowing for DX.
