This is post 2547 in a continuing series of simple ham radio antennas.

Thanks to Lucien (DH7LM) for this exceptionally well-presented tutorial on one of the best HF antennas available to radio amateurs--the monoband HF dipole.

This antenna is simple, inexpensive, and suitable for both at home operation and in "field" activities.

Here are some general remarks from Lucien:

Overtime, I came to realize how important radiation patterns are - and how the classic monoband dipole shines here. Especially if you are a beginning ham radio operator, give it a shot before you try complicated designs!
