This is post 2375 in a continuing series of simple ham radio antennas.

If you need an ultra simple and cheap 2 meter antenna, then this "Slim Jim" project from Kevin Loughin (KB9RLW) is just for you.  All you need are some basic tools and a length of 450 ohm ladder line.

The antenna is perfect for portable or emergency field use.
