This design is based on the pioneering efforts of General Loren Windom (W8GZ), Howard Williams (W9BXQ), John Byrne (W8DKZ) back in the 1920s.  The "Windom" has proven to be one of favorite "classic" HF antennas used by radio amateurs. Although I've used J-Pole antennas for the 2m/70cm amateur radio bands, I've never explored their usefulness on the 10 meter band. This video from Michael Martens (KB9VBR) has changed my mind.
