Beat the HOA with stealth antenna.

Image
Here's another idea for disguising your 2m/70cm antenna--turn it into a faux green plant with just a few common materials. Craig (WJ6F) shows us just how easy it is to make the Diamond VX50 VHF/UHF antenna resemble a simple house plant.  The "remodeled" antenna is nearly invisible from street level. Here are some comments from Craig (WJ6F): Tired of dealing with the Home Owner's Association (HOA), and their anti-antenna rules? Then this video may just help you with that! Again I update my 2m / 440 stealth antenna using a Diamond VX50. The Diamond VX50 allows for a more stealth antenna since it doesn't have the three ground radials found on the Diamond X-50A. ⬇ Other Links ⬇ 🔵 Please Consider supporting the channel through Patreon https://www.patreon.com/WJ6FRadio 🔵 Donations: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted...

Stealth HOA Ham Radio antenna flag pole.

Image
Radio amateurs living in deed-restricted housing face difficult antenna choices. Among the antenna choices available for our fellow hams, is the stealth antenna disguised as a flag pole. In this video, Bob (KD4BMG) show how he stayed on the air with an end-fed wire supported by the "Chameleon Antenna Cha Portamast", which also serves as a flag pole. Bob lists the materials and construction procedures used to erect this HOA friendly antenna. Image
Thanks to K1GMM ("Green Mountain Maniac") for this interesting antenna conversion project. In the video, K1GMM describes the process he used to convert his already excellent 160 meter inverted "L" antenna into 6-band resonant vertical antenna. The modification is simple and will deliver multiband HF performance between 160-10 meters. The perfect sized apartment antenna for HF Radio.

Image
Thanks to Shane (K5QBF) for this interesting apartment antenna using linear loading for a shortened HF antenna. Shane says the antenna is easy to build and works well for a compromised HF dipole antenna.  This antenna should attract the attention of radio amateurs living in deed-restricted homes, apartments, and condominiums. If you can't see the video, please insert this title URL into your browser search box:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QedCBFKVXN0. Here are some comments from Shane (K5QBF): In this video we are building a linear loaded dipole for hf ham radio use. This is made out of simple components and a breeze for any skill level. This antenna is the perfect size for an apartment or small yard. If you would like to support the channel please visit my merch store https://shop.spreadshirt.com/ThisSide... . Thanks for watching!
