Portable 40 meter vertical antenna build.


Thanks to Steve (KA0SPM) for this "portable" 40 meter vertical antenna build.  Despite the title of this video, you may need a truck to transport this structure to your "field" operations site.

Despite this drawback, the antenna is sturdy, well-made, and affordable--especially if you use locally-sourced materials.

Be sure to add a sufficient ground radial or counterpoise system to boost efficiency of this simple antenna.  If you add a "tuner" to the antenna, you can operate on several Amateur Radio bands.
