Under new rules effective March 5, 2012

The maximum allowed power level WILL BE 100 Watts PEP (ERP) effective radiated power referenced to a dipole. If another type of antenna is used, the station licensee must maintain a record of either the antenna manufacturer?s data on the antenna gain or calculations of the antenna gain.
The frequencies listed here are the ONLY frequencies hams can use with the appropriate license under the new rules.

Ham Band (Meters)Frequency
(Mhz)
1/4 wave (Feet)1/2 wave  Dipole
(Feet
)
1 wave Loop
(Feet)
650.0004' 8''9' 4''21' 1''

2144.0001' 8''3' 3''7' 0''
148.0001' 7''3' 2''6' 9''
Antenna length is based on the following formulas:
1/2 wave dipole (feet) = 468 / frequency in Mhz. (1/4 wave, use 234 / frequency in Mhz)
Full wave loop (feet) = 1005 / frequency in Mhz

Cut total wire length slightly longer for connecting insulators/pruning as needed for lowest swr.
