If you can't see the video, please insert this title URL into your browser search box: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bMNm57YUbA This is post 2649 in a continuing series of simple ham radio antennas. Thanks to Daniel Divine for this intriguing 2 meter antenna idea. Radio amateurs living in deed-restricted housing (HOA/CC&&Rs), should be able to modify this design for home use. Here are some comments from Daniel: Living in an antenna restricted apartment can be very frustrating to a ham. And in my case hanging anything out of a window or having coax running outside is not even allowed. So with time on my hands I came up with this simple 2 meter groundplane design to get you on the air in 20 minutes or less. Also I believe this would make a great antenna in an emergency situation when there's no antenna to be found and very little to work with. This antenna has proved to be very effective and I hope it helps to get someone on the air. 73' ----- Thanks for joining us

Thanks to Adam (K6ARK) for these portable antenna ideas.  If you like operating in the field (SOTA, POTA, ARRL Field Day), then these 3 suggested HF antennas will make your next "expedition" a success. Here are some general comments from Adam: My picks for SOTA and Portable Ops are tailored to my primary applications. Every antenna is a compromise in one way or another, and these three suit my needs in each respective application. There are certainly other great options. Size and weight are priorities for me typically, and these antennas are my top picks for most of my operations. What's your favorite portable HF antenna?
