Cheap Tilt-Over Vertical Antenna for Ham Radio

Here's a useful accessory for radio amateurs using vertical HF antennas--a cheap tilt-over mast.

Callum (M0MCX) takes us through the design, building, installation, and testing of this project for those of us who need to disguise our antennas or to protect our verticals from thunderstorms or other foul weather.

Just raise and lower the mast to fit your operating schedule.

This is post 2373 in a continuing series of simple ham radio antennas.

Here are some comments from Callum (M0MCX):

I finished the project! Fantastic way of tilting over my vertical antennas. I will review this again in a few weeks to see what I learned - watch out for that video.
