Old TV rabbit ears as a junk box 2 meter antenna.

If you need an emergency 2-meter antenna, why not use that old television "rabbit ears" antenna you stored in your junk box?  Most likely, that basic tv dipole can be used to contact local repeaters or maintain local simplex 2-meter nets.

In this video, Kevin Loughin (KB9RLW) builds a simple, effective, and very cheap 2 meter antenna with materials found in his junk box.  Why spend a lot of money when that 2-meter antenna may be hiding in your ham shack?
