This is post 2636 in a continuing series of simple ham radio antennas.

If you need a portable, yet sturdy 40 meter antenna for the upcoming ARRL Field Day, try this simple project from Steve Palmer. Most of the materials for this vertical can be found at the nearest hardware store or building supply outlet.

Although the antenna is designed for the 40 meter Amateur Radio Band, you could also use the antenna on 15 meters as the third harmonic of 40 meters.

Thanks for joining us today.
