Simple Ham Radio Antennas--Go Antenna: Portable Antenna Mast. Post #536.

If you'r having trouble seeing this video, please insert the following URL into your browser search box: Fascinating antenna and mast project from Chris Smith.  Smith shows us how to build a quick-deployment mast for portable or emergency use.  In this video, Smith builds a 14-ft/4.26 meters mast with an attached 2 meter, 1/4 wavelength ground plane antenna.  The mast can be extended with four more steel sections to get about 24-ft/7.31 meters of total height above ground.  Smith says the antenna is light in weight and is easy to build, erect, and take down.  Nice project.  For the latest Amateur Radio news and events, please check out the blog sidebars.  These news feeds are updated daily.  You can follow our blog community with a free e-mail subscription or by tapping into the blog RSS feed.  Thanks for joining us today!
