The Q-Match will make the antenna resonant at 50 ohms at the feedpoint. This eliminates having to buy an expensive balun. The Delta Loop is bi-directional and has some gain. In this video from Gil ("Radio Prepper" video channel), we see how a coil and an AT-271 whip can make an excellent choice for field or emergency operations. As Gil relates, this experiment had some issues, especially with the construction of the coil.
