Simple Ham Radio Antennas

A good introduction to ARRL Field Day operations from Anthony Luscre (K8ZT) and Marty Woll (NbVI). The video covers set up, operation, and take down of a portable Field Day ham radio station.  ARRL Field Day is held on the last full weekend of June. Many older televisions came equipped with a simple "rabbit ears" antenna. As Kevin Loughin (KB9RLW) explains, this old tv antenna can be repurposed into a simple, effective 2 meter antenna. Aluminum foil is a versatile, inexpensive material for emergency and portable HF antennas.
