If you need a simple, efficient, and easily made HF vertical antenna, then this video from Adrian ("One Time Pad") will interest you.  The antenna can be made from locally available parts or from your "junk box."  Adrian says "this antenna will work other bands with a tuner/matching unit."  Be sure to ad some extra ground radials for added efficiency.
