If you want multiband HF coverage from 160 meters through 10 meters and you can have only one antenna, why not try the "classic" doublet antenna? In this video, Steve Ellington (N4LQ) show us his doublet antenna which covers 160 meters to 10 meters, using 60-ft/18.29 m of 450 ohm ladder line and a MFJ-998 automatic "tuner."  Steve says his length of balanced feed line, coupled with the "tuner" allows, him to cover a wide range of amateur/ham radio frequencies. If you want to follow Steve's design, please cut the doublet for the lowest frequency of use.  In this case, you will be able to cover 160 meters to 10 meters with each dipole segment measuring approximately 135-ft/40.76 m.  You may have to adjust antenna length to accommodate local conditions. A nicely designed and built 160-10 meter doublet antenna from Steve Ellington (N4LQ).  The key to the antenna's multiband capability is the use of a balanced feed line and an "auto-tuner" (MFJ-998). Steve says "the 60-foot (18.29 meters) of feed line presents an easy to match impedance to the tuner for 160 meters." If you can have only one HF antenna to cover the Amateur Radio Bands from 160 to 10 meters, then this multiband doublet by Steve Ellington (N4LQ) may be what your're looking for. According to Steve, this doublet "cover(s) HF bands with great results...the MFJ-998 tuner easily loads the antenna on several bands.  The 60-ft/18.29 m of balanced feed line, coupled with the MFJ-auto "tuner" provides a suitable match to his transceiver on Amateur Radio bands from 160 through 10 meters. You can also build a similar antenna to cover 80 through 10 meters if your space is limited.  Just design the antenna for the lowest frequency of operation, use balanced feed line, a balun (if needed), and a well-built antenna "tuner."  The doublet is an excellent, efficient, and inexpensive way to cover several Amateur Radio bands with
