Random Wire Antennas for Ham Radio.
One of the simplest, most inexpensive multiband HF antennas you can build is the "classic" random wire antenna. Armed with an "antenna tuner", a basic UnUn, and a basic ground radial/counterpoise system, this early ham radio can still deliver excellent performance at a moderate cost.
In this video, Peter Waters (G3OJV) discusses the pros and cons of this easily-made antenna, especially for radio amateurs living on small urban lots.
