If you want a simple, directional HF antenna that offers some gain and an excellent front-to-back ratio, please consider this Moxon Antenna design from Toivo (W8TJM).

In this video, Toivo show us how to build a basic Moxon Antenna for the 10 meter Amateur Radio band.  This antenna works very well on portable operations such as SOTA/POTA and the ARRL Field Day during the last full weekend of June.
