Stealth Ham Radio Antenna the HOA will never find.


 If you live in deed-restricted housing (HOA/CC&Rs), the task of erecting antennas can be challenging.

In this video, the "HOA Ham" (KD4BMG) shows us how an innocent looking patio table can be key ingredient of a hidden HF antenna.

The project uses patio furniture to conceal a "Poseidon Rybakov Antenna."  The antenna mast collapses into the table and can be extended in just a few minutes.

While this compromise antenna can't match the performance of a dipole or a vertical with numerous ground radial wires, it does work and offers yet another solution to places where antennas are rigidly controlled.
