Easy to make ground-radial kit for portable operations.

Building and deploying a ground-radial or counterpoise system for vertical HF antennas can be a challenge.

In this video from Alan Wolke (W2AEW), we see how readily available computer ribbon cable can be transformed into a handy ground-radial kit for portable operations, such as POTA/SOTA.

Alan provides all the steps needed to convert unused ribbon cable into an easily-deployed ground radial system.  The kit is small enough to fit into your emergency "go-kit".

Here are some comments from Alan (W2AEW):

This video shows the ground radial (counterpoise) kit that I make from ribbon cable for my portable vertical antenna deployments during Parks on the Air (POTA) and other temporary/portable radio operations.
