Long Wire End-Fed Antenna
Have you ever wondered how a "Really Long End Fed Antenna" performs?
In this two-part series on long wire antennas, Tom (WA2IVD) designs, builds, tests, and uses an experimental end-fed antenna on his property.
In the first video, Tom takes us step-by-step through the entire building process, showing us the materials used, support for the antenna, and the overall building process.
Tom's antenna measures approximately 450-feet (137.16m) and uses common aluminum electric fence wire. In part two, Tom evaluates the antenna performance with and without an antenna "tuner."
