Converting the cheap CB antenne DV27S into a DX multiband antenna.

Would you like to get on the air without spending much money and effort?

You can if you convert an old CB (11 meters) antenna into a 6-band DX mobile antenna.

In this video, German radio amateur DC3TB shows us how he converted a 30-year-old CB antenna into a multiband mobile DX antenna.

Here are some comments from DC3TB:

Today I show you how I have converted my 30 years old DV27S Antenna into a DX Mobile Antenna for the 10-40m ham radio bands. Keep in mind that the length can vary a little bit! Just for information: In the video you see another antenna below the DV27S. I have done some tests with this antenna , too. But it was hard to extend it for other bands. You needed a longer wire and to adjust it for the 20m band was impossible, because the wire was getting too long. And think about your power you use with these types of antennas. I think the DV27S was build for low power up to 35 (?) watts - so do not use to much power with this antenna!
