This is post 2317 in a continuing series of simple ham radio antennas.

Half wave antennas are excellent in what they offer in versatility, simplicity, and ease of operation.  These antennas are easy to build, are highly portable, and fairly inexpensive.

In this well-made video from Australian ham Peter Parker (VK3YE), we learn how to build a 50 MHz (6 meter) half wave vertical antenna from locally available parts.  With the summer Es season here, you may want to try this antenna to open up the band in your area.  A great stay-at-home project during the COVID-19 pandemic.
